Late summer camping

You may have noticed a slight chill in the air recently but it’s nothing to worry about. In fact it’s a great time to visit the Lake District.
The blackberries are out in full force and we have loads of butterflies this year.

Below is a stunning morning had on the Kent Estuary, 10 mins drive from the campsite. Migrating birds famously gather here in their numbers before heading off to warmer climates around this time. We also have wonderful sunsets but this time of the year they are especially good. If you are heading out for some camping, and getting away from suburbia, you’ll find the open spaces very restoring to your soul.

It’s a very special place.

At the campsite, we’ve been busy sprucing up the Lodges! You now have electricity to make the stay even more luxurious as well as keep those cameras and phones charged. We’ve put in heaters too so you can relax in cool evenings.
