The Predator
Full Day

A theoretical course about primitive trap making and food procurement including: identifying trails, tracking, understanding animal behaviour and habitat, hunting vs trapping, stalking techniques, types of traps and trap triggers, primitive hunting. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.

The Flame
Full Day

An in-depth course to master the fundamentals of fire lighting in the wild including: material selection, tool use, fire lays, modern and traditional methods, ember management, mastery of friction, importance of fire and using it as a tool, fire management, principles of leave no trace including safely extinguishing and disposing of material. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.

A bushcraft experience which include: shelter building, fire making, water collecting, foraging & plant identification, navigation, signalling, medical knowledge and movement over rough ground. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.

The Highlander

A guided, 13km walk and climbing of the ridges of the Lakes which includes learning about: predicting mountain weather, water sourcing in the wilderness, navigation, mountain day pack, movement techniques, emergency procedures, flora and fauna. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.

The Roar

Tracking and observing the wild deer of the Lake District during the breeding cycle. Especially recommended for photographers. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.

Operation Blast Hole

An exhilarating abseiling and survival experience which include abseiling into a slate mine, going through flooded cavern, build shelter and make fire. Everyone is required to be adequately prepared. Minimum 2 adults required per booking, maximum 4 people.  

Woodman`s Walk

A guided, 15km walk with some steep climbs but is generally a low-level walk through the ancient woodland of Witherslack estate; a 2000-acre estate. A minimum of 2 adults required when booking.
