What do we need to bring with us?
Camping out with your family and friends can be one of the most fun and enjoyable experiences you will ever have. We’ve put together a short list of a few things we recommend to help make your stay with us even more memorable;
- Situated on a bed of Limestone does mean the ground can be quite quite rocky in places. Great for drainage but not so great for driving pegs in. So bring appropriate pegs and a good mallet.
- The campsite is mainly grassed and can be wet with dew in the mornings so pack some wellies or crocs if you don’t mind getting your feet wet.
- A torch to find your way at night. Head torches are great as they leave your hands free. It can get extremely dark especially when there is no moon to light your way.
- Lake District nights can be a little chilly sometimes so don’t forget to pack an extra couple of blankets, thermals, a warm hat and cold weather gear. it’ll make all the difference, especially if you want to sit out around the campfire at night.
- If you have them onesies are brilliant for the kids at night.
- Sturdy boots for exploring around Witherslack and into the Lakes
